Julie Hobbs-Julian, MAPP Director
Julie brings decades of pompon and dance experience to her role, overseeing all operations at Mid American Pompon—from summer and day camps to statewide competitions and team trainings. Since joining the organization in 2006, she’s led coaching seminars, choreographed routines, recruited talent, and ensured excellence at every competition. A former high school coach with five State Championships under her belt, Julie’s roots in pom run deep—she was captain of her team and a member of the very first Mid American All Star Team in 1986. With 18+ years of training in ballet, tap, and jazz, she combines technical skill with unmatched passion for the sport of pom.

Megan brings over a decade of experience and leadership to Mid American Pompon. After three years as a high school pompon athlete, she went on to coach JV for a year and served as a head varsity coach for 12 years. Her teams consistently reflected her dedication, energy, and love for the sport. Now, as Assistant Director at Mid American Pompon, Megan draws on her coaching expertise to support teams, staff, and programs with passion and purpose.

MAPP Staff
MAPP Staff are a group of carefully selected, college-aged pompon experts who live and breathe the sport. They choreograph and perfect both advanced and intermediate routines, then bring that energy and precision to life at our summer and day camps. More than instructors, they’re role models—leading with passion, professionalism, and a genuine love for pom that inspires both teams and coaches alike.
